Halo Pony Models: Helmets Release V.1 by DigitalSyntax Halo Pony Models: Helmets Release V.1 by DigitalSyntax
This is my first ever Pony mod of any kind, anywhere that used any kind of external editing tools. There will be bugs of some kind, such as clipping or collision issues.
However, as it seems the rest of the armor will take a while, I've packed together a helmets release, which is stable enough to be used.

------------------------------------------------
Instructions
------------------------------------------------

Download the file by clicking "Download File" in the top right of this page.

Extract the .rar file to your addons folder, so the "HaloPonyModels" folder is inside your "addons" folder. Inside there is both an "addon.txt" and an "info.txt", just to be safe.

Once you've loaded up GarrysMod with the models, you can change the color of the helmets using the "color" tool.

Once you've changed it to a color of your liking, you can bone-merge it to your pony using the bone-merge tool, found here:[link]

Note that if you don't want your pony's hair to show from the helmet, you must make it invisible. To do this, go to your desired pony's material directory, and back up the "hairfront.vmt" and "hairback.vmt" files somewhere safe, where you will remember them. I cannot stress how important this step is - always back up the files in case something goes wrong.
After you've done that, add this line somewhere in both .vmt files:
"$no_draw" "1"
And save them. It can go anywhere underneath the line with "$basetexture", but not above.
I'm sorry about the inconvenience, but currently I don't see any other way around it.

-------------------------------------------
Credits
-------------------------------------------

I did NOT make the helmet or armor models. All credits go to the original creator and those who helped him here, on this Facepunch thread: [link]

Feel free to inform me of any bugs/clippings on the helmet models. I will do what I can to fix them and improve them, while also moving on to the armor.

Cheers~!
